Galesburg awards emergency demolition contract to Jim Max Corp. for 2026

"The company will provide 24 7 on call demolition services for unsafe or hazardous structures within the city," staff told the council.
The contract is intended to expedite demolitions for public-safety reasons and to control emergency removal costs; funding will come from the property redevelopment fund. The council approved the contract on a 7–0 roll-call vote.
