Galesburg council expands housing repair grants to $5,000 and allocates $150,000 for FY26

Councilmember Cheeseman praised the expansion as an important tool to help residents maintain property and neighborhood quality: "This truly is an outstanding program and expanding it like this to do something that all of us ... feel is important," she said. Council approved the resolution amending the program by a roll-call vote of 7–0.
