In Old Business the Board reviewed documentation from East Greenville Fire Company showing how the Township's 2024 contribution was spent and auditor-provided financial reports indicating receipt and expenditure of the Township contribution. The independent audit itself is expected in November. Based on the materials submitted, the Board determined East Greenville qualifies for the 2025 contribution and stated it will accept comparable documentation from Pennsburg and Red Hill fire companies if their independent audit reports are not available before the July bills list.
In New Business the Board approved a tax refund of $87.62 for the property at 2593 Geryville Pike, requested by the Township Tax Collector because of fire damage. Supervisor Tim Woodward moved to approve the refund; the motion was seconded by Stefan Laessig and approved 5-0.
The Board's acceptance of submitted documentation allows the Treasurer to process the 2025 fire-company contribution for East Greenville pending any further audit materials; the tax refund was processed per the Tax Collector's request.
