The Upper Hanover Board of Supervisors approved a request from Enbridge to close lanes with flagging and to permit possible Saturday work while repairs are made to the Texas Eastern Transmission pipeline.
The Township Engineer presented the request and Supervisor Stefan Laessig moved to approve the lane-closure plan on the condition that a signage and roadway-repair plan be submitted and approved by the Township Engineer. The motion was seconded by Dottie Diehl and the Board voted 5-0 to approve. The approval is conditional on final engineering sign-off of traffic control and restoration plans.
The Board's action authorizes temporary public-works measures to allow pipeline repairs to proceed under Township oversight; the Engineer will review signage and restoration requirements before work begins.
