Gene Clausen, a visitor at the Dec. 16 Redfield City Council meeting, informed the council that Brown County Landfill tipping fee increases combined with higher insurance costs are driving sanitation expenses upward and asked the council to consider raising municipal garbage rates by $1.00 per customer.
