Redfield council adopts $565,000 supplemental budget appropriation

Finance Officer Adam L. Hansen presented the ordinance, which earmarked $100,000 for legislative professional fees; $100,000 for gravel under highways and streets; $150,000 for airport professional services; and $75,000 combined for economic development salaries and supplies ($50,000 and $25,000 respectively). The ordinance record shows the total General Fund supplement as $565,000, Special Projects Fund $150,000 for asphalt materials, and a CMH pass-through transfer of $250,000. Mayor Frank Schwartz attested to the ordinance on Nov. 4 and Nov. 18 readings.
Mike Siebrecht moved to adopt the ordinance and Brent Derscheid seconded; the motion carried on a roll-call vote with all members recorded as voting "Yes." The ordinance was ordered published with the second reading recorded Nov. 18, 2024. The supplemental appropriations will be financed from cash on hand and grants and donations as noted in the ordinance text.
