The Redfield City Council on Dec. 2 approved payment of city and hospital/clinic claims and a slate of additional vendor bills during a roll-call vote in which all members present voted "Yes." City prepaid claims totaled $1,768.15 and unpaid city claims $86,944.88; hospital and clinic prepaid claims were $628,860.60 with unpaid claims of $84,832.06, and hospital/clinic refunds totaled $721.45. The council also approved a list of additional claims including payments to Midcontinent Communications ($915.87) and Redfield Ace Hardware ($531.85).
The motion to pay the claims and additional items was moved by Jessi Lewis and seconded by Mike Siebrecht and carried on a roll-call vote with all members voting in favor. The meeting record lists individually pleaded additional claims (e.g., Thomas Reuters – West $107.20 for South Dakota codified law updates; Connecting Point $80.75 for monthly backup services).
