"Staff recommend approval of an ordinance to designate Highland Avenue at North Street and Morriston Avenue at North Street as stop intersections," Saint George said, adding that manufacturing and installation costs for the signs are estimated at $150 and the work will be funded from the city's gas tax fund. The ordinance was set to return for final action at the council's next meeting.
Council members asked clarifying questions about the precise blocks affected; staff and council clarified that the new signs will be on Highland and Morriston at North Street, not other nearby blocks. The item will come back for a subsequent meeting for final vote.
