The City Council approved a final-reading ordinance implementing a set of rate and fee adjustments recommended by STAC as part of the FY2026 budget process.
"STAC recommend approval of various rate and fee adjustments as part of the fiscal year 20 26 budget process," Saint George told the council, and said the changes "include increases to various licenses, recreation fees, refuse fees" and are intended to balance cost recovery while avoiding barriers to access. She said the adjustments are typical and, if approved, will be reflected in the FY2026 budget with an effective date of Jan. 1, 2026.
Council voted 7–0 on the final reading. Staff told council there is no immediate budget impact beyond what is planned for the FY2026 budget because the adjusted rates will be incorporated into that year’s revenue projections.
