Trappe schedules June water tower maintenance; residents asked to conserve water

Water Superintendent Shawn Lane informed the Council that Southern Corrosion will perform interior cleaning and maintenance on the Town's water tower during June and that the work will require the tower to be taken offline for approximately three to five weeks. The Town will distribute notices asking residents to conserve water during the maintenance period.
"Southern Corrosion will be on-site to do interior cleaning and maintenance on the water tower during the month of June. This will require the water tower to be taken offline for about 3-5 weeks," Superintendent Lane said. Attorney Lyndsey Ryan also reported that the water and sewer comp plan amendment for Paris Foods was approved by the County Council. Separately, during discussion of Well 4R presenters noted that revisions to new water tower plans are underway with MDE and GMB and that construction is estimated at about two years.
