Livingston Septic outlines sewer-lining plan; Council notes $75,000 allotted

Commissioner Schmidt called the Trappe Town Council workshop to order at 1:00 p.m. on Feb. 12, 2025. At 2:15 p.m., representatives from Livingston Septic joined the workshop to present results of a sewer camera survey and to help the Council identify which sewer mains should be prioritized for lining.
Chris from Livingston Septic told the Council he will prepare a plan and a price to line the identified mains and to install a lateral for each main where the new liner requires one; the Council said it will review that price proposal before deciding how to proceed. The minutes record that "There is $75,000 allotted for this project," and that the project is being funded with ARPA funds. Chris also proposed a yearly maintenance plan that would divide the town into sections for jetting and vacuuming on a three-year rotation, and offered to sign a three-year contract to perform annual maintenance and to install liners the Council requests.
Representatives from Livingston Septic left the workshop at 3:00 p.m., and the Council resumed budget discussion. The Council did not record a formal vote on a contract or on a procurement decision during the workshop; it expects to review the forthcoming price proposal before taking further action.
