Board signs off on school safety plans and multi‑year calendars; pulls one policy for review

Superintendent Jamie Nino presented annual updates to school safety plans for Cedar Continuation High School, Chawanakee Academy Charter, Hillside School, Minarets Charter High School, Minarets High School, Mountain Oaks High School, North Fork School and Spring Valley School. The board voted unanimously to approve the site safety plans.
Nino also presented proposed district calendars for 2026–27, 2027–28 and 2028–29. The board approved the calendars; the minutes record Trustee Jessie Hutchens voting 'No' on the calendar approval. In policy matters, the board approved the first and second reading of a long list of board policies and administrative regulations but specifically pulled BP/AR 6143 (Courses of Study) for further review.
