Water Department staff updated trustees that Well 1‑3 are fully operational, Plant 2 Well 2‑2 is manually operational and able to be put into the system, and SCADA work is nearing completion. Staff said Philip Ross Industries reported Well 2‑3 will be returned to service as soon as possible but must first obtain approval from the Nassau County Health Department.
Mayor Ralph Ekstrand requested the latest 1,4‑dioxane readings for all wells. Staff also noted lead and copper sampling preparations and cited a recent homeowner‑funded service replacement at 6 Sherman Rd., and that work is underway to address brown water at 2 Yoakum Street.
Trustees were briefed on the operational status and next steps; the minutes do not include sampling results or dates for county approval of Well 2‑3.
