The Chatom Union School District Board of Trustees accepted two employee resignations and approved a slate of public-employee appointments during its Sept. 11, 2025 meeting.
In closed session the board approved Alex Salas as Athletic Director and appointed Allyson Morris as a third-grade teacher, Christina Holland Oliveira as a Year 2 Induction 5th-grade teacher, Rebeca Mendoza as a bilingual paraeducator, and April Mailloux to two paraeducator roles including yard/cafeteria supervision. The meeting record indicates two resignations (original employee numbers were amended to 09-11-25-01 and 09-11-25-02). Motions to approve these appointments were made by Trustee Karen Macedo, seconded by Trustee Alison Carvalho, and carried by recorded votes (Ayes 4, Noes 0, Abstentions 0).
The board noted the Art and Music Experience paraeducator position remains "in process," with no final appointment announced at the meeting. These personnel actions were reported out at the start of the public session and entered into the official minutes.
