The Uintah City Council voted unanimously June 2 to approve the petition and adopt Ordinance 3020-26, annexing Parcel Number 07-103-0021 (Lot 10) into city limits.
A staff member described the annexation as "the final step to get the annexation into the city," and Committee member (S3) moved to approve the petition before Committee member (S2) seconded. The Chair called the vote after brief procedural remarks; council members answered "Aye" and the petition passed. Later in the meeting Committee member (S2) moved to approve the ordinance to formalize annexation — the motion carried with no recorded opposition.
The ordinance vote followed a publicly noticed hearing during which staff confirmed survey corrections requested by the county surveyor had been addressed. Staff noted that the Mylar had been altered to cross out a single word per the surveyor's direction and that the state's LG's office will review the final filing and could return it if further corrections are needed. The council did not record any recusals for the item.
Council members did not open substantive debate on land-use conditions or specific development approvals at the meeting; the action in the council chamber was limited to petition and ordinance adoption to accept the parcel into Uintah city limits. The annexation record will proceed to the administrative steps required by state and local practice for final recording.
