Superintendent Cherise Olvera reviewed the district’s preliminary California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) raw scores for English language arts and mathematics and shared initial English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) data. The presentation included breakdowns by subject, grade level, subgroups and cohorts to provide early insight into performance trends ahead of the state Dashboard release.
Olvera told the board the California Dashboard is expected to be released in November, and staff will use the raw-score review to support planning and communications to families once official results are posted. The board did not record any formal action on assessments at this meeting.
