Farmingdale reports progress on North Main pole removal and National Grid paving reimbursement agreement

DPW and highway staff told trustees the North Main Street Pole Removal Project is underway, with underground excavation complete and new conduit and wire being installed. Officials said they are addressing coordination issues with Altice and LIRR and that Verizon will coordinate its part of the installation.
Staff also reported they met with National Grid regarding paving roads where new mains are to be installed and said National Grid agreed to reimburse paving on Yoakum Ave., Hillside Rd. and Fairview Rd. The board discussed ordering a new grate for Moby Way and other routine maintenance items.
