The board approved several action items on Aug. 12, 2025. Members voted unanimously to approve a fieldwork agreement with the University of Massachusetts Global, a revised bilingual paraeducator job description, and the reclassification of paraeducator and after-school coordinator job titles and descriptions. The board also approved the district's Prop 28 Arts and Music in Schools (ASM) Plan and the Superintendent's contract term; all motions passed Ayes 5, Noes 0, Abstentions 0.
Each item was presented and approved as individual action items. Motions were recorded with Rob Santos and Anthony Avila among those making and seconding motions. The approvals enable the district to proceed with field placements, updated staffing roles and the implementation of the Prop 28 ASM plan for arts and music programming.
