Code department staff reported that planning is underway for the 2025 Ryder Cup and that village personnel met with Ryder Cup organizers to discuss potential impacts on train-station commuter parking and neighborhood traffic. The village also engaged Northside Elementary School about morning drop-off and afternoon pickup logistics and intends to work with school transportation personnel to allow access to a gated community during key Ryder Cup days.
Code staff said Main Street security for events has been reviewed with the Nassau County Police Department, and the department will address noise complaints on Main Street as they are received. These measures are preparatory steps to reduce neighborhood disruption during the international event.
