At the Aug. 4 work session the Water Department reported that Well 1‑3 is fully operational and Plant 2 Well 2‑2 is manually operational and being used to fill tanks; it can go "to system" if needed. The SCADA monitoring system is nearing completion, and an evaluation of the ground tank roof and structure has been completed with next steps under development.
The minutes state that Philip Ross Industries reported Well 2‑3 will be back in operation ASAP but that Nassau County Health Department approval is needed before it returns to service. Village crews repaired a water-main break on Simonson Place and repaired a generator at Well 1‑3; a lightning strike at the water tower communications system was repaired.
