The Chatom Union School Board on Oct. 14 approved three California State Preschool Program resolutions and authorized submission of the district’s continued funding application for fiscal year 2026–27. Resolution #10-14-25-01 designates facility responsibility and authorized signers for all Chatom State Preschool documents; Resolution #10-14-25-02 changes the State Licensing Ages Served from 3–5 years old to 2–5 years old; and Resolution #10-14-25-03 authorizes submission of the continued funding application.
Each resolution was approved as recorded in the board minutes. The motion and second for the facility-responsibility resolution were recorded (Motion: Karen Macedo; Second: Alison Carvalho) and other resolutions show similar procedural motions and recorded vote tallies in the minutes (Ayes 4, Noes 0, Abstentions 0). Chatom State Preschool Director Sandra Nunes reported preschool enrollment figures during the information portion of the meeting (19 morning, 12 afternoon), which the board considered in context of program planning and staffing.
