Trustees approve LCAP after presentation of local indicators

The Corning Union High School District Board approved the district LCAP for the 2025–26 school year at its June 19 meeting. Board Clerk Cody Lamb moved approval and Reid Lamson seconded; the motion passed unanimously with Trustees Turri, Lamson, Lamb and Bingham voting aye.
Superintendent Miguel Barriga presented five areas of priorities and described the LCAP as a required state tool to measure progress on the Local Control Funding Formula indicators using self-reflection tools and dashboard metrics. Trustees had limited discussion and approved the plan, enabling the district to proceed with implementation activities tied to the LCAP goals.
The board recorded no separate conditions on the LCAP approval during the meeting.
