Superintendent Jamie Nino presented a bundled first reading of numerous board policy and administrative regulation updates, including BP 0410 (Nondiscrimination in District Programs and Activities), BP/AR 0420.4 (Charter School Authorization), BP/AR 0440 (District Technology Plan), Title IX complaint procedures, sexual harassment policies, and curriculum/health policies. Trustee Jessie Hutchens moved for the first reading and the board voted unanimously to conduct the first reading as presented.
The policy updates cover a range of compliance and operational topics. The board did not take final action on the policies at the Oct. 7 meeting; next steps typically include board review, possible revisions, and a subsequent vote for adoption at a later meeting.
