The board accepted several grants and certified required reports at the Sept. 9 meeting. Katie Bethune said Madera County granted $20,000 to the district through the California School Leadership Academy to fund Solution Tree professional development. The board also approved a California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP) award to Cedar Continuation High School for Cohort 4 (2025'030), a grant intended to provide integrated student supports, family engagement and extended learning time.
CBO Melissa Kielpinski presented and the board approved the Proposition 28 annual report certifying that arts and music funding for FY 2024—2025 will be used for required arts-education programs. The CCSPP implementation plan and budget were noted as approved by the state program and brought forward for board acceptance.
