Select Board approves 89-acre conservation restriction on Old Wendell Road property

Seth Kelly, Community Conservation Program Manager with Mount Grace Land Trust, asked the Select Board to approve a conservation restriction on 89 acres of the Herlihy/Zimmerman parcel on Old Wendell Road so the land can be retained for outdoor passive recreation. Kelly described plans to maintain and update trails for activities including hiking, bicycling, snowshoeing and horseback riding.
The Board voted to approve the conservation restriction (motion by David McCarthy, seconded by Dan Campbell). The approval preserves public access and limits future development consistent with the conservation restriction terms; the minutes record the parcel size (89 acres) and the property address as 757 Old Wendell Road.
