Utility department staff opened their report with condolences for a colleague's recent loss and then described operational issues.
"Please only flush toilet paper," the utility staff member said, explaining that foreign items have been entering the wastewater plant and caused a pump to clog this week. Staff reported progress on a water-loss audit that is waiting on Keystone's data and verification and said they will call in the necessary verifier to complete the audit.
Staff also reported the recent cave-in at East Washington and Pearl was repaired and thanked contractors. The department said cold-patch material is being produced this week to address road repairs and that the wastewater PER revealed undocumented infrastructure that staff are following up on.
