Public Works Supervisor Tyler Martin told the council that Well #4 reservoir was cleaned and inspected and that the tank showed rust on the top and blisters on the inside. The tank is 26 years old; the inspecting company recommended interior rehabilitation within three years and exterior painting within three to five years.
Martin said he has video of the inspection and is seeking repair estimates, and he expressed a preference to complete necessary work within two years if possible. The report has been sent to DEQ as part of ongoing wastewater and water-system communications related to recent fire-related changes.
