Eric Anderson, Executive Director of Learning, Teaching in Schools for the Wenatchee School District, said the band classrooms are being preserved because they have "good bones" and will receive upgrades to acoustics, ventilation, storage and practice space to better support the music program. "These spaces are the heart of our music program," Anderson said.
Anderson framed the work as part of the district's preservation-first bond approach to keep program-critical spaces in place while modernizing them for current instructional needs.
