Project Sparkle phase 1 moves toward construction at four parks in North Las Vegas

Erin Reiswerg told the board Phase 1 of Project Sparkle has completed design and is moving to conformed construction documents and permitting. "The 1st phase of Project Sparkle, the design is complete. We are currently working on the conformed construction document set, and once that is complete and the building permits are acquired, we will be starting construction," Reiswerg said. She added that construction for some Phase 1 projects could finish within roughly six months and that Phase 2 parks are at about 60% design.
Phase 1 parks listed were Valley View Park, College Park, Rotary Tot Lot and Brooks Tot Lot. Reiswerg said Phase 2 includes Jo Kneep, Flores, Goldcrest and Prentice Walker, with funding focused on Prentice Walker and Jo Kneep to advance those first. Board members were encouraged and asked to look for communications about project timing and public outreach as construction approaches.
