Town Administrator Mark Walter presented a Finance Director memo indicating that the 2026–27 mill rate would have been 35.14 if no state funding were received; the actual mill rate approved was 30.75. Walter also reported CIRMA experienced underwriting losses of $25,832,000 due to lawsuits and property damage, offset by net investment gains of $26,838,000 for a net income of $1,006,000.
The board then approved payment of bills totaling $358,901.46 covering emergency and regular accounts, SBL payment #1 of 4, credit card and payroll items. The motion to approve payment of bills carried 5–0.
