Blue Lake appoints Samantha Green as city clerk; Carrie Kroger introduced as finance manager

The Blue Lake City Council adopted Resolution 12‑52 on Feb. 10 appointing Samantha Green as city clerk and administered oaths of office. The council conducted a roll‑call vote and approved the appointment.
City Manager Jenny Short also introduced Carrie Kroger as the city’s new finance manager; Short said Kroger began work on Jan. 27 and reviewed Kroger’s background, including a Bachelor of Science in business administration with an accounting emphasis. Kroger told the council that "my CPA license is in inactive status" and said she looked forward to serving the city.
Samantha Green introduced herself and said she currently lives in McKinleyville and is eager to work with Blue Lake residents and staff. The oath of office was administered to Samantha Green and the meeting recorded the customary affirmations.
