Council reviews liaison assignments and asks staff to finalize roster

Council used a substantial portion of the Jan. 13 meeting to review liaison positions for boards, commissions and local organizations. Members spoke in favor of continuity for some assignments and volunteered for others; staff (Tracy, speaker 6) said she will assemble a consolidated list and circulate it for member confirmation before returning it to council.
The discussion covered many bodies, including urban renewal seats, Spring Valley and Avamore CIDs, Valley Regional Transit appointments, Historic Preservation, the library board and the Eagle Community Fund. Several members asked that tentative assignments be marked with question marks to allow follow-up; staff will bring a finalized roster back to the next council meeting for ratification.
