During the election of officers, Commissioner (speaker 4) moved to nominate the chair to remain in place and to name Commissioner Dan Faustina vice chair. Chair Michael put the motion to a voice vote; the commission answered in the affirmative and the motion carried. The vote followed a procedural motion to approve the Dec. 18, 2025 minutes earlier in the meeting, which Commissioner Crystal moved to approve and which passed by voice vote.
The nominations were handled on the floor without a roll-call tally and no recorded opposition was made during the voice votes. The election leaves the commission’s leadership unchanged going into a year when members said they expect to push for an expedited master plan and greater commission involvement on major park and trail projects.
