The council approved Resolution 2025 R22 to renew an interlocal agreement for aerial photography to support geographic-information-system (GIS) mapping. Staff said the overall contract cost rose by $4,694 but adding the town of Charlestown as a partner reduced Clarksville's share; the proposed annual cost to Clarksville is $7,857.14 with a not-to-exceed $10,000 if any partner withdraws (staff, SEG 404–414).
Staff recommended the renewal to maintain up-to-date imagery for GIS users across the county and municipalities; council moved and approved the resolution unanimously (motion and recorded vote, SEG 419–425). The resolution continues an existing cooperative arrangement for shared aerial imagery and associated mapping tools.
Why it matters: current aerial imagery supports local planning, permitting, public works and emergency response functions. The interlocal spreads costs across multiple jurisdictions and keeps per-jurisdiction costs manageable.
Next steps: staff will finalize the agreement and ensure billing and contract terms reflect the approved not-to-exceed amount.
