Assembly adopts higher harbor moorage and use fees effective March 1

On its third reading the Petersburg Borough Assembly unanimously adopted Ordinance #2026-03, an amendment to Petersburg Municipal Code Chapter 14.20 that "will increase harbor moorage and use fees effective March 1, 2026." Harbormaster Glorianne Wollen spoke in support of the ordinance during the public hearing and, separately, thanked staff for coordinating aquatic center repairs while also urging approval of the harbor fee changes. The minutes record her remarks in the public-comment period: she "thanked Stephanie Payne, Manager Giesbrecht and Jody Tow for coordinating the repairs to the Aquatic Center" and "spoke in favor the ordinance to increase the harbor rates and requested that the Assembly approve the ordinance."
