Resident urges council to back police budget after chief's presentation

Pickens urged council members to view the chief's requests as necessary investments rather than items that would "waste taxpayers' money," and asked the council and future members to "learn to work together and accept other people's ideas." Her remarks emphasized support for public safety funding and for civil discourse among elected officials.
