U.S. Border officials say Scribe port to restore historical hours starting Jan. 6

A U.S. Border Protection representative told Daniels County commissioners that the Scribe port of entry will restore its historical operating hours effective Jan. 6.
The CBP representative said the restored schedule will be 8 a.m.–9 p.m. June 1 through Sept. 15 and 9 a.m.–7 p.m. Sept. 16 through May 31. CBP offered to hold a town-hall in the county to explain the changes and take questions, but the commissioners said they would not plan such an event unless constituents request one.
"This takes effect January 6," the CBP representative said, listing the seasonal schedule changes and offering to forward the press release and related information to the county email address. County staff said they had seen local press coverage but thanked the caller for the direct notification and said they did not plan to schedule a town hall at this time.
