County may receive decommissioned tower to host state microwave for 911 interoperability

"...they are looking to put microwave to get you a direct connection to the core, which would allow all sorts of interoperability and capabilities for your, with your new consoles," Mayhoes said, describing a potential state‑funded equipment package if the county can provide a site and pad.
Mayhoes said the state and local dispatch manager were favorable and he expected confirmation of details in the next few days; he proposed returning with finalized siting, pad size and equipment‑cost responsibilities by the Sept. 16 follow‑up meeting. Commissioners said they could provide labor or arrange local concrete work if the state covers equipment.
