Johns Creek planning chair recuses from RZ‑25‑0003 hearing over Emory advisory role

Because the case involves Emory Johns Creek Hospital, Holst said he would recuse himself "in the spirit of not being accused of anything" and turned the hearing over to Vice Chair Horton.
Holst told the commission that the Emory advisory board is advisory only and does not operate the hospital, but that he would step aside from the discussion to preserve transparency. Vice Chair Horton then presided over the staff presentation and the public hearing. The recusal was recorded on the public record prior to testimony and questions.
