Commissioners discussed the ambulance’s condition, referencing intermittent backup‑camera problems and noting prior purchases from the same seller. One commissioner recommended the bid, and the board moved, seconded and approved awarding the sale to the bidder. Staff will notify the buyer, arrange a date for title transfer that requires signatures at the time of transfer, and remove the vehicle from county insurance when it is delivered.
The board also discussed practical steps post‑sale: checking mileage, ensuring oil and maintenance are up to date, and confirming whether batteries and electrical connections are functioning before final delivery. No warranty beyond the sale was included in the bid.
"Motion has been made and seconded to approve the bid on our ambulance," the chair said during the vote.
The motion carried without opposition.
