"So there is 30,000 there towards the fire truck," the speaker said; "Another 10 to equip it? Equip it." Commissioners asked staff to keep searching for vehicles (including state surplus and auctions) and to report back with concrete options.
No purchase was approved at the meeting. The board encouraged the fire department to identify specific vehicles, check wheelbase and dimensions, and verify transport logistics before returning with a purchase recommendation.
