Other members supported including cricket, noting Alpharetta lacks the same cricket capacity and that cross‑city participation could benefit the sport's growth in the area.
Members recommended staff pass the committee's feedback to council, including an option to exclude football from the renewal and to consider a one‑year trial or additional data collection before approving a multi‑year auto‑renewal. Staff said they would compile the concerns and forward them as part of the council update; no formal vote on the agreement occurred at this meeting.
