House OKs bill to modernize education-workforce data sharing and ROI reporting

Supporters said the bill streamlines reporting and improves transparency for parents and students; critics on the floor raised concerns about clarity and whether consolidation will make it harder for users to find answers. The sponsor said the changes are needed to access federal funds and to provide clear ROI metrics for programs.
