South Whittier district reviews California Dashboard results and reports all Local Indicators met for Priority 1
Summary
District leaders reviewed the newly released California Dashboard and told trustees that evaluated Local Indicators for Priority 1 (basic services) were met, enabling the district to identify subgroup needs and target supports.
District officials presented the South Whittier Academic Achievement Report aligned with the newly released California Dashboard and summarized subgroup performance across indicators on Nov. 18.
"The California Dashboard, available online to the public, provides detailed information on key performance indicators to help identify district strengths, areas of need, and opportunities for improvement," said Dr. Reanna Mendoza, Director of Assessment, Accountability, and Parent Engagement. Mendoza reviewed how the district compares with surrounding districts and highlighted subgroup results to guide targeted strategies.
Associate Superintendent of Educational Services Dr. Rebecca Rodriguez presented the Local Indicators Priority 1 update and reported that all evaluated indicators for basic services were met, including assigned teachers, access to instructional materials, and perception of safety regarding facilities. The board received the information as part of its monitoring and compliance responsibilities; no action was taken beyond review.
Administrators said the Dashboard will be used to steer targeted interventions for subgroups where gaps persist.
