Board adopts second readings of district records, student records and special education policies

At the Aug. 19 meeting the South Whittier Board of Trustees conducted second readings and approved a set of district policies and administrative regulations related to records, access to records, student records and special education services.
The Superintendent recommended approval of the policies listed as items 12.1 through 12.10. The board voted unanimously (motion by Dr. Natalia Barajas, second by Sylvia V. Macias) to adopt the second readings, which included AR/BP 3580 (District Records), AR/BP 1340 (Access to District Records), AR/BP 5125 (Student Records), AR/BP 6159 (Individualized Education Program) and AR/BP 6159.2 (Nonpublic, Nonsectarian School and Agency Services for Special Education).
