Resident says park advisory board evaluation misses the mark; urges adoption of Carrollton system

Hull said the Carrollton approach requires no licensing fee, involves residents and staff, and identifies parks most in need of maintenance and CIP attention. He urged council to direct the Park Advisory Board to discontinue its current project and adopt the alternative evaluation model so results are available during the next budget cycle.
Hull also said existing park ordinances are poorly written and hard to enforce, which constrains police response to park violations and contributes to waterfront parks becoming neglected. The council received the request during citizen input; no council action was taken at the meeting to change PAB direction that evening.
