Senator Clemish, the senator from Winneshiek, moved that the Senate recess until 1:00 p.m. and announced that Senate Republicans would caucus in Room 22 at 1:00 p.m. The presiding officer put the motion to a voice vote; the ayes prevailed and the Senate recessed.
"Madam president, I move the senate at recess until 1PM this afternoon, and the senate Republicans will caucus in Room 22 at 1PM this afternoon," Senator Clemish said when making the motion. The presiding officer called for the ayes and nays by voice and stated that "the motion prevails." The clerk recorded that the Senate recessed until 1:00 p.m.
Earlier in the floor period, Senator Weiner announced a separate scheduling note for Democratic senators: "Democrats will caucus after Veterans Affairs Committee at about 11:30." Those scheduling announcements were made during the introductions and announcements portion of the floor session and no formal roll-call votes were recorded for the caucus locations.
