At its March 23 special meeting, Fairview Park City Council placed Ordinance 26-20 on first reading. The ordinance title, as read to the council, authorizes the mayor to sign an agreement with the Ohio Patrolmen's Benevolent Association (OPBA) and carries an emergency clause; the council did not vote to adopt the agreement during the meeting.
Councilwoman Greenfield presented the ordinance and read the title into the record: "an ordinance authorizing the mayor of the city of Fairview Park, Ohio to enter into an agreement with the Ohio Patrolmen's Benevolent Association, OPBA, and declaring an emergency." The presiding officer announced assignment of the ordinance to the finance committee for further review.
