Tom presented Resolution 2026-10, which applies the contract's CPI-based annual adjustment to the city's solid-waste and disposal rates and implements a capped 4% increase effective Oct. 1. The contractor had requested a larger increase tied to Pinellas County's change in tipping fees, but the city's contract caps CPI adjustments at 4%.
Under the adopted resolution the bimonthly collection rates were listed by service type (examples: single-family new rate $64.50; multifamily can $61.50; multifamily dumpster $56). Council adopted the resolution unanimously after brief citizen comment about street-branch collection in certain neighborhoods.
