The Commission reviewed an updated Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Violation Citation & Procedures document that grants the wetlands agent authority to issue fines up to $250 by referencing the Town ordinance for fees. Wetlands Agent Savannah Kitchin told the Commission that no modifications were made beyond referencing the existing town fee ordinance, and Commissioners voted 4–0–0 to advance the document to Town Administrator Mark Walter and the Board of Selectmen.
Commissioner Mary Roickle noted the Land Management Advisory Committee (LMAC) is considering a similar approach for its procedures. Wetlands Agent Kitchin said she will submit the document to Town Administrator Mark Walter and notify the Commission when it is placed on the Board of Selectmen agenda.
